Environmental Philosophy
We recognize that preserving the global environment is one of humanity’s most pressing issues in the 21st century, and as a company involved in the manufacturing of precision parts, we will actively work to preserve, maintain, and improve the environment. (March 1, 2007)


 
 
 

Environmental Policy

1.To help realize a recycling society and to maintain and improve the environment, we will minimize the effect of our business activities on the environment, effectively use resources and energy, and reduce industrial waste and substances of environmental concern.

2.We will conform to applicable laws, regulations, and customer requests to preserve the environment.

3.We will set targets and objectives that incorporate the various parameters of our business activities, work to meet them, and revise them as needed.

4.To improve our environmental performance, we will carry out a periodic internal audit and management review every January so that we can continually improve our environmental management system. The person responsible for environmental management will appoint the internal auditors the previous December.

5.This policy will be put into writing and we will ensure that all employees concerned will learn it thoroughly. Also, we will work to heighten the environmental awareness of our employees through environmental education. (March 1, 2007)


 
 
 

Environmental Efforts
Today, people are asking hard questions about the character and morals of management, and top management at all enterprises must take the environment into account in their decisions. Our efforts to gain the ISO 9001 certification of the International Standardization Organization is an example of this. Also, MIYAKE has satisfied Sony’s “Control standard for substances of environmental concern in parts and materials” and has been recognized as a “Green Partner”.


 
 
 

Community Efforts
The Head Office Factory is located beside the Yamazaki River, which is famous for its cherry trees. In recent years, the pollution of rivers has become a problem, and Yamazaki River is no exception. With a profound respect for our waters, we would like to contribute to the local community by cleansing and regenerating the Yamazaki River so that it will once again become a stop for migrating birds.
